What film is for on a house
Houston houses take a lot of sun on west and south glass. Solar-control film is there to cut heat and block UV that fades floors, fabric, and art. It is not automatically a dark limo look. Privacy and frosted films are a separate choice when you want the view blocked.
Security film is the product that holds broken glass together. It is not the same roll as the solar film. If you want both, say so when you ask for the quote so we measure for both.
The older residential solar-control page on this domain now lands here. Solar control for homes is part of this service.
How a home visit works
You tell us the address and which rooms bother you. We quote from the glass, the film, and how many panes — not from a flat “whole house” price on the website. If we need to see the elevations first, we’ll say that before we give a number.
Install day is on site. Automotive tint still happens at the Spring Branch shop. If you also want the cars done, those are booked into the bay separately.
The shop is at 10214 Georgibelle Dr., Suite 600, Houston, TX 77043. Phone (832) 347-5769. Hours are Monday–Friday 9–5 and Saturday 9–2. Sunday the bay is closed.
What we will not guess
We won’t put a percentage savings on your electric bill on this page. Film reduces the solar load on the glass it covers. How that shows up on a bill depends on the house, the HVAC, and which windows we film. We’ll talk about the glass, not a guaranteed bill cut.
We also won’t publish a price until the shop has a number it wants on the site. Ask for a quote.
